The track star, who has only competed in four Diamond League events so far, is just over 40,000 fans from the two million mark. The last figure reported on his Facebook page at the end of April, showed his registering 1,777,153 and is now at 1,958,197 (as of July 15). After only 76 days since the last check and four major events, missing New York Grand Prix, he is recording an average of adding 2,383 fans a day.
Bolt is still the number one track athlete on the social media site. He is still ahead of Tiger Woods reporting over 1.4 million; but way behind Lebron James with 2.69 million and Lionel Messi 3.73 million.
Bolt has been featured in many international magazines, including Running World, Sports Illustrated, GQ, Times, Esquire, L'equipe and Track and Field News, is now one of the most popular sports stars on the social networking site Facebook.
