Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser will compete at next month's Herculis Monaco Diamond League meet, organisers confirmed yesterday.
The 23-year-old sprint star will join Olympic shot put champion Valerie Vili from New Zealand, with the duo set to headline the women's competition at the Louis II stadium on July 22.
Fraser has been one of the most outstanding sprinters in the world over the last two years, wrapping up the two major titles on offer.
The pint-sized runner sped to victory in the 100 metres at the Beijing Olympics and returned last year to capture the event at the World Championships in Berlin.
Fraser has had a slow start to her season this year, finishing second to American Carmelita Jeter in her only Diamond League outing so far.
She was successful at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava in May, however, clocking 11.04 seconds to win there.
